BLACK ALTAR is one of the best Polish Black Metal bands, have been around for 21 years now, and continue to deliver darkness and despair on record after record. Their second album “Death Fanaticism” was out for the first time in 2008, all the tracks on this record stand out due to good songwriting and unique riff structure. There are many catchy riffs and haunting shrieks - indubitably nice atmosphere, orthodox Black/Death Metal with some analogies to new Behemoth, Dark Funeral, Tsjuder, in their original point of view named: elite Holocaust Horror Black Metal. Good riffs that drives the album climbes on the rating ladder. Raw vocal lines and dark atmospheres, fierce drumming. They can remind also a sense of Darkthrone and mid-Immortal. Very Norwegian in the sound and riffing. Deathlike drums and strong vocals define this album as very solid and compact.
